Transforming Compliance into Strategic Advantage through Data-Driven Insights
The LEHVOSS Group, founded in 1894 and headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, is a global player in speciality chemicals, minerals, and performance materials. With operations across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, they supply industries like pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, food & beverage, and advanced manufacturing.

RightOrigins by CIED centralised the data to make a smart, digital knowledge base that enabled
Before
After
Over the years, LEHVOSS built a rich repository of documents. From quality certificates and supplier statements to customer RFIs and sustainability reports, every document was stored manually across multiple systems.
But with the growth came a serious problem: no centralized visibility. Their quality and compliance teams were spending precious time manually digging through folders to find the right documents or data points. Response to inquiries from partners, auditors, or internal teams slowed down due to:
Unstructured and duplicated files
No standard classification or tagging
Outdated data mixed with newer versions
Inefficient manual extraction processes
It was time-consuming, error-prone, and simply not scalable. What they needed was clarity, structure, and speed — all without replacing existing systems or overburdening their teams.
In an industry where compliance, precision, and responsiveness define leadership, the LEHVOSS Group's Magnesia division continues to set benchmarks—not only through its technical expertise but also in the way it embraces innovation.
As global customer expectations evolve and quality documentation becomes increasingly complex, LEHVOSS recognized an opportunity to lead by example. Rather than adapting reactively to mounting data demands, the team took a forward-looking stance: to proactively explore how AI could support a more intelligent, structured, and scalable approach to managing product and supplier data
Their vision wasn't just about solving today's challenges—it was about laying the groundwork for a smarter, more resilient data ecosystem.
LEHVOSS aimed to create a scalable foundation that could unify fragmented information, support AI-driven insights, and empower teams across functions to work with speed, confidence, and clarity.
LEHVOSS collaborated with RightOrigins and employed our RightData platform for a focused pilot. RightData is an AI-powered tool designed to transform unstructured documents into structured, traceable, and searchable knowledge assets.
Together, the teams scoped a use case centred on building a Single Source of Truth (SSOT) for quality and regulatory documentation—a foundation that could support smarter inquiry handling, supplier data verification, and internal reporting.
To make this possible, RightData deployed a team of AI agents each with a specific task, coordinated by an AI Orchestration Layer that mirrored key data workflows.
Human-in-the-loop validation
enabling LEHVOSS experts to review and approve AI-processed outputs
Modular workflows
which could be extended or adapted to future domains such as compliance, customer documentation, or procurement. These workflows also support the scalable integration of additional specialized agents, capable of building on the SSOT to handle emerging needs.
Secure, privacy-compliant operations
with no use of proprietary data for model training and adherence to internal data protection guidelines.
“CIED brought more than technology to the table—they brought alignment with our operational mindset. Together, we’ve not only solved a pressing data management challenge but also created a digital foundation for scalable, cross-functional use cases.”
— Dr. Alexander Sunder, Director, Business Unit Magnesia, LEHVOSS Group
The pilot delivered clear results across multiple dimensions:
Efficiency
Accuracy
Traceability
Scalability
The initial pilot focused on quality and compliance documentation—a high-impact domain with clear governance and measurable value. LEHVOSS used RightData to process multiple documents, including:
AI agents parsed these documents, extracted key data points, and indexed them into the SSOT. Quality teams could then retrieve validated answers via intelligent search or document response modules—removing the need to manually scan folders or rely on tribal knowledge.
“Working with the CIED team was straightforward, efficient, and collaborative. Their agility in mapping our requirements into the AI workflows and their responsiveness throughout the pilot made the entire engagement a success. The solution is successfully bringing our vision to life, and is already offering further enhancements.”
— Sebastian Grünschläger, Tech Center & Quality Assurance, Business Unit Magnesia, LEHVOSS Group
Following the success of this pilot, LEHVOSS is now extending the architecture to live environments and additional use cases. This includes deeper IT integration, ongoing refinement of SSOT interaction layers, and exploration of intelligent customer agents that can unify internal and external communication data.
The long-term impact? A more agile, transparent, and intelligent documentation ecosystem—one that scales with business growth, reinforces quality leadership, and prepares LEHVOSS for the next generation of digital collaboration.
